Tweet While the football fans among you were following Manchester City and Stoke City battling it out for this year’s FA Cup yesterday at Wembley Stadium in London, 360 Cities founder Jeff Martin was pitch-side capturing a 20-gigapixel photo of the crowd – the largest-yet 360-degree photo of a sports event. The image has now been launched on http://wembley360.wembleystadium.com/ – less than 24 hours after shooting! People viewing the image can tag themselves or their friends if they were in the 90,000-strong audience.

I faced a ton of challenges and problems when shooting the London 80 gigapixel image. First of all, it was similar to the Prague gigapixel image from last year – I shot it as a challenge, not sure if it would really work.

Saint Vitus’s Cathedral (Czech: Katedrla svatho Vta) is the cathedral of Prague, Czech Republic, and the seat of the Archbishop of Prague. The full name of the cathedral is St. Vitus, St. Wenceslas and St. Adalbert Cathedral. Located within Prague Castle and containing the tombs of many Bohemian kings, this cathedral is an excellent example of Gothic architecture and is the biggest and most important church in the country.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world and looks almost like a small town itself. It’s the most visited tourist attraction in Prague.
The castle dates back to the 9th century when Prince Borivoj founded and fortified a settlement there. During the 12th century a Romanesque palace was built and then during the 14th century, under the reign of Charles IV, it was re-built in Gothic style, the last reconstruction of the Royal palace was made under the rule of the Jagellons at the end of the 15th century.
It is the seat of the President of the Republic and the historical and political centre of the city and state. The changing of the guards at Prague Castle takes place every hour. The Castle (Hrad) includes a palace, three churches, royal stables, a monastery and surrounding gardens. The neighbourhood of the Prague Castle is called Hradcany.

Rudolfinum. Prague

The Rudolfinum is a beautiful neo-renaissance building constructed in 1876 – 1884, originally designed for a picture gallery, collection of antiquites and concerts. It was the seat of the state parliament between the two world wars.

Today, Rudolfinum is home to the Czech Philarmonic Orchestra. They perform regular concerts throughout the year in the largest concert hall in the building, the Dvork.
The grandeur of the interior and exterior of the Rudolfinum, combined with high musical standards make this one of the most popular places in Prague for classical concerts.

I promised to answer everyone’s questions, so here we go… #1 by Rami Saarikorpi on December 18, 2009 – 10:33 am What kind of robotic device did you use?I have Gigapan, but I can not get my Mark II + 300mm to it I used a robotic device made by my friend Traugott. It allows the use of larger cameras and lenses
