Moscow is the capital and the most populous city and the most populous federal subject of Russia. Moscow is a major political, economic, cultural, religious, financial, educational, and transportation centre of Russia and the world, a global city. It is also the seventh largest city proper in the world, a megacity. The population of Moscow (as of 1 January 2010) is 10,562,099.

It is located by the Moskva River in the Central Federal District, in the European part of Russia. Moscow sits on the junction of three geological platforms. Historically, it was the capital of the former Soviet Union, Russian Empire, Tsardom of Russia and the Grand Duchy of Moscow.

He has worked on assignments for the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune as well as a variety of other institutions. Thanks to his experience in digital photography and processing of images Andrey quickly learned to make high quality panoramas. He has made a big series of panoramas (more than 80) for a multimedia disc about the Kremlin. From the very beginning though his work had an ethnographic bent, focusing on daily life rather than tourist sites. He worked with a variety of museums, such as the Shchusev State Museum of Architecture, State History Museum, and photographed for the automobile industry, shooting panoramas for the auto.mail.ru site. He also creates images for the medical and hospitality industries. A number of his panoramas have been published on the Russia Today site, rt.com.
