This is in the best of the Russian Clown Circus tradition and executed flawlessly by Teatr Licedei. The actors have all applied their technique beautifully in sync. The company proceeds slowly enough for the audience to catch up but it is a whirlwind adventure of a typical family.

All of the characters are well defined. Father, when home, drinks and sleeps. Mother, pregnant again, corrals the four violently mischievous children. Each of the actors is give cameos which best show off their talent and father’s water trick is quite clever. As the story unfolds, the audience is brought into the action; one poor man in the front row got the lions share of the abuse. Note: this production is infinitely family fair!

Ashmore Reef islands are no stranger to territorial controversy. They are where the Children Overboard incident occurred, which involved a boat-load of immigrants trying to reach Australia. When guano-mining was big business in the late 1800s, there were fights between American and British interests.

Ashmore Reef. The three islands are just visible as black smudges equally distanced along the bottom edge of the reef. West Island, the largest of the three, is triangle-shaped. Access to the island is via the channel to the northeast.

Its also about 50 miles from Timor and a traditional fishing ground with the name Nusa Solokaek in local dialect, meaning sand island. The British made it part of the Commonwealth in 1934 but it wasnt protected as a National Nature Reserve until 1983. Long-standing indigenous use … follow link below to read more.

Windsor Castle is, along with Buckingham Palace in London and Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, one of the principal official residences of the British monarchy. Queen Elizabeth II spends many weekends there and the horse racing season held in the town of Ascot. It is one of the largest castles in the world that are still inhabited and one of the oldest.
The castle is located in the city of Windsor in Berkshire County in the valley of the River Thames and west of the city of London.
The day I visited the flag showed that it was the Queen.

In 1841, the bay was used as a base by pirates and caused serious concern to foreign merchant ships trading with China. The pirates were subsequently repulsed by the British Fleet; hence the name. Another theory holds that the bay was named after HMS Repulse which was stationed at the bay at one point.
In the 1910s, Repulse Bay was developed into a beach, and the Repulse Bay Hotel was built in 1920. To attract swimmers, a bus route from Central to Repulse Bay was created, and now stands as one of Hong Kong’s oldest bus routes. During the Battle of Hong Kong in World War II, Repulse Bay was an important strategic location.
The beach was extended artificially, and thus the sand closer to the shore is coarser than that further away.
Until the early 1960s, residential buildings were quite restricted. Three blocks of six storey apartments were developed by Dr. P. P. Chiu and his brother P. W. Chiu, part way up the mountain overlooking Repulse Bay. These were luxury apartments with servants’ quarters, with only two apartments per floor in Blocks A and B. Apartments in Block C are smaller. For a long time, these were the only apartments allowed on the mountain.

Situated in the center of Oslo, the Nobel Peace Center (Nobels Fredssenter) first opened on June 11, 2005. Its opening coincided with the centenary of Norway’s independence. Its opening was officiated by Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik. Calling an old train station from 1872 home, the building overlooks a nearby harbor providing an impressive view for visitors.

Nobel Peace Center – Vestbane

The venue covers 16,000 square feet. On the outside, the center features twin brick towers, which face the adjacent city hall that hosts the Nobel Peace Prize ceremonies.

The center depicts the elaborate history of the famous Alfred Nobel (1833-1896) for whom the building is named after. Nobel was born Oct. 21, 1833, in Sweden. He was fluent in numerous languages and enjoyed writing drama and poetry. Nobel’s deepest interest ran in the streams of social and peace-related issues. While his views were deemed radical at the time, they are now a popular way of thinking. Even more interesting, however, is how Nobel made his fortunate in selling arms to foreign countries.

Ironically, The Nobel Peace Prize is a direct result of Nobel’s will in which he left specific instructions for the prize and how recipients would be determined. The Norwegian Parliament, who Nobel left in charge of the prize committee, facilitates the selection of the recipients.

Nobel Peace Center – Nobel Field

The Nobel Foundation manages the funding left by Nobel that is used to award the Nobel Prize in physics, chemistry, physiology, or medicine, peace, and literature. The foundation also administers information actives and arrangements involving the presentation ceremony of the prize. Additional it represents the Nobel Institutions and administers the Nobel Symposium Program.

The Nobel Peace Center was created through the efforts of British architect David Adaye and American designer David Small.
